Firm Profile

In his law practice, Jonathon Parry takes pride in serving his clients as a counselor at law, as a transactional attorney, and as a litigator.

First, as a counselor at law, Mr. Parry takes time to learn about his clients and their needs.  He teaches clients about how they can apply the law to reach their goals and helps clients identify legal solutions that are in the clients’ long-term best interests.  He also uses his network of relationships with other professionals as a resource for his clients.  For businesses, effective one-on-one legal counseling is required to properly plan for transactions or litigation, or perhaps to even decide to take a “wait and see” approach regarding a matter.  Without thoughtful legal counseling, decisions regarding transactions or litigation may result in poor outcomes for the client.

Second, as a transactional lawyer, Mr. Parry helps clients structure deals, transactions, and agreements.  Agreements should be custom-tailored to each client’s particular needs and drafted to avoid litigation.  Time and time again, Mr. Parry has seen in contract litigation that the specific terms of contracts (or the lack thereof) can have a huge impact on the ultimate outcome for a client.  In short, details matter.  Cookie-cutter agreements taken from a generic source off the Internet and casually applied by the client often do not meet the business’s needs.

Third, as a litigation attorney, Mr. Parry represents clients in court and in arbitration and mediation proceedings.  Business litigation is complicated, especially when it involves intellectual property and technology.  Through his 13 years of litigation experience involving many different types of claims, Mr. Parry has the knowledge and skills to represent businesses, entrepreneurs, and other parties in court and in arbitration and mediation proceedings.
